Gallaudet University offers merit-based scholarships to deaf and hard of hearing students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and whose scholastic and personal achievements are exemplary. Scholarships are no longer based on first come, first serve basis. Applications must be completed for acceptance and scholarship considerations by February 1, 2013.
Scholarships will be based on academic ability only. The highest test scores and GPA scores will be ranked from the highest to lowest for scholarship review and the scholarships will be offered to the early decision and regular decision students right after the February 1st deadline.
Scholarship winners will be notified by the Admissions Office. Timely responses to admission and of merit-based scholarship awards are important because of the limited number of available merit-based scholarships.
