Seniors Tony Tatum and Jessica Israel both earn athletic honors

Gallaudet University senior cornerback Tony Tatum was named Defensive Player of the Week for Division III by the Beyond Sports College Network (BSCN) website on Monday. The honor is the first of the season for Tatum who played a critical role in the Bison's decisive 47-27 victory over Catholic University of America last Friday night.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for the week of Sept. 10 and Gallaudet University senior middle hitter Jessica Israel was named NEAC Women’s Volleyball Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for her dominant performance at the net for the Bison.
