The annual H Street Festival, only a few blocks from Gallaudet University, is an event for the local community to come together for performances, art, music, booths, and plenty of food! Show your pride by wearing Gallaudet University gear!

Gallaudet University is pleased to be involved in the H Street Festival and organizers are anticipating about 70,000 attendees this year. The Festival events will take place between the 800 and 1400 block of H Street, NE. This year, performances by students, staff, and faculty will take place at the 13th Street stage. Click here to see the list of performances.

Gallaudet will have three exhibit booths. Two of the booths will be under a large tent and share information about Gallaudet, bookstore items for purchase, and more. The third booth is for the Gallaudet Art Department to showcase student artwork, which will be located on the 1300 block of H Street. Gallaudet is also sponsoring interpreting services for the Festival. The booths will provide information about where the interpreters are located and interpreters will be wearing GIS Interpreter badges. Deaf-blind attendees, please visit the Gallaudet Booth at 13th and H Street for CDI services.

Gallaudet cheerleaders will kick off the festival at 11:45 a.m. as they perform the Star Spangled Banner in ASL on the 8th Street stage.

At noon, be sure to attend the official launch of the Greater H Street NE Heritage Trail on the 14th Street stage. The Greater H Street NE Heritage Trail is an 18-sign, self-guided walking tour which commemorates the history and culture of the H Street NE, corridor.
