Charge

1. Review and recommend to the UF Senate policies regarding the orientation of new faculty members of the UF;
2. Develop and recommend to the UF Senate guidelines for proposals for faculty development funding;
3. Receive, review and recommend to the chief academic officer proposals submitted by members of the UF for funding;
4. Provide an annual report to the UF on its activities including decisions on submitted individual proposals; and
5. Provide a written quarterly report to the chief academic officer in the disbursement of Faculty Development funds.

This Committee has the following authority:

• Upon notification from the Provost about funding availability, the committee decides on award funding for faculty proposals.
• Cooperate with the Provost on setting funding priorities
