Faculty and Staff Development

The Strategic Plan calls for significant input into faculty development in preparation for implementing bilingual strategies within the classroom. (See D.4.2 on the following Faculty Governance page). Faculty may take advantage of a number of different programs and activities in support of their knowledge and uses of bilingual pedagogy as well as language proficiency and use in the classroom. These programs include the Bilingual Faculty Development Program, Bilingual Advantage Lecture Series, Classroom Observation, and ASL classes.

New faculty also have the benefit of training offered in the New Faculty Orientation (NFO). Current events include the recent Faculty Development Day and a series of ongoing dialogues for faculty and staff titled, "From Mission to Method: Dialogues & Drinks".
