Academic Bowl

The Academic Bowl for Deaf and Hard of Hearing High School students was established at Gallaudet University with the goal of fostering the pursuit of academic excellence, promoting a spirit of academic competition and sportsmanship , and providing social opportunities for the development of collegiality and lifelong friendships.  Quiz tournaments, in which teams of high school students compete against each other on a national level, have gained wide popularity among high schools throughout the country.

High schools with deaf and hard of hearing students are encouraged to form a team and participate in this exciting event. To learn more about participating in the Academic Bowl competition, see Academic Bowl for Deaf and Hard of Hearing High School Students.
