Rock Climbing
Rock climbing is a wonderful activity in which a person can challenge him/herself in doing things never tried before and where the outcome is uncertain. Learning to "see" what nature has provided one to use and to ascend vertically or traverse horizontally over the selected rock face is both a challenge and an opportunity to discover what one as an individual is capable of doing. The more one practices and the more techniques one learns, the easier each "route" becomes and the more one can challenge him/herself. Rock climbing becomes a physical model of the spiral of learning. The Gallaudet Community - Students, Faculty, and Staff
