Dear Department Chairs and Program heads:

The PPTF---in response to the numerous expressions of concern about the disparity between the data provided by the Office of Institutional Research (OIR) and the data programs have retrieved from their files---has requested that OIR, along with Budget Directors within the Academic Affairs Division, come to a meeting with all department chairs and program heads on Thursday, April 22 from 12.45 to 2.15 in Room MLC B111.

The goals of this collegial meeting include:

(1) promoting a constructive dialogue among all participants on exactly what is and what is not operative in the OIR data caches; and

(2) suggesting avenues of approach to get around the difficulties in the Drive P Templates so that ample room is allowed  for providing programs with the opportunity to display their qualitative/quantitative justifications in describing their statistical summaries in the most accurate and comprehensive ways possible. 

(3) clarification of issues related to some of the data in the templates on Drive P

(4)  Provision of trend data on budgets that Chairs and those filling out the forms will need to complete budget items, particularly Criteria #8.

We apologize for the last minute notification but we are hopeful that this meeting will go a long way toward resolving any lingering data issues.
