Colleagues:
The PPTF is hosting three Program Prioritization Forums during the week of March 29. The Program Prioritization Forums are on:
Monday, March 29, 4 - 5pm, SAC 1011
Tuesday March 30, 8.30 - 9.30am SAC 1011
Friday, April 2, 12 - 1pm. MLC B111 (Merrill Learning Center)
Why Program Prioritization Forums??
This week the Program Prioritization Task Force sent out the "call" for data from programs. The data that programs provide by April 30 will enable the PPTF to rate each program on nine criteria, and then prioritize them.
Because programs are so varied, and the value so multi-dimensional, we are asking for data on a diverse set of indicators. Some of these indicators are quantitative and will be provided by OIR (e.g., 4.2a student/faculty ratio in program), others are qualitative (e.g., 3.3 infusion of multiculturalism and social justice in program). Program Directors and Chairs will undoubtedly have questions about providing the data, and about the PP process in general. The purpose of the forums is to claify data definitions, have conversations with chairs and program directors about PPTF expectations and answer any questions you might have about how to respond to the questions we are asking.
If you will be completing a Program Prioritization template we strongly encourage you to come to ONE of the PP Forums.
