Undergraduate Programs
The Science, Mathematics & Technology Department at Gallaudet offers both Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in biology, chemistry, and mathematics, as well as minors. We designed our B.A. degree programs for majors who are seeking employment after college, or as a second major for education majors who aim to become high school science teachers.
Our B.S. program is especially designed for majors who plan to continue on to further education, such as graduate, medical, dental or veterinary school. B.S. students are expected to take additional science and mathematics courses, and a course in research methods. These course requirements reflect the interdisciplinary nature of modern science.
Outside of the classroom, many of our majors place in summer internships doing field work or laboratory research through the Career Center and/or the professional connections of our department faculty.
