Community Service Programs (CSP) is where students and student organizations can go to find different community service opportunities and receive guidance in searching for opportunities to perform community service and service learning off campus. CSP is also responsible for tracking the community service hours of those who still need to meet their required number of community service hours for graduation, and to verify that student organizations have met their number of events required to stay active as a student organization. Community Service Programs also works closely with faculty to implement and integrate service learning opportunities for their classes.
The University dedicates itself to partnership with the citizens, social service agencies, schools, and governments of the District in confronting the crises generated by local poverty, environment degradation and social injustice. By focusing on particular geographic neighborhoods and communities within the District, the University can bring its multiple resources to assist with and resolve some of the crucial issues, thus making a measurable difference to needy citizens, the community and beyond.
