Video: Introducing the Office of the Ombuds
Welcome! If you're a member of the campus community, and you seek help in resolving a problem, the Office of the Ombuds is the place to go. There is no wrong reason to visit the Ombuds. Launched in January 2008, the Office of the Ombuds is a conflict management resource to address concerns initiated by all members of the campus community, such as students, staff, faculty, parents, alumni, applicants, and others as appropriate.
The Office of the Ombuds can help you with the following issues:
- academic concerns (such as grade concerns or disputes, course accessibility, faculty evaluations, and academic policies),
- harassment and mistreatment (such as bias-related actions; based on race, religion creed, gender, age, ethnicity, national origin, physical, disability, or sexual orientation),
- administrative non-academic concerns (such as housing, financial aid, parking, employment, and student accounts), and
- any concerns which hinder your ability to excel in the classroom and/or workplace.
