SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Michael Moore will serve as interim Ombuds for up to a year.

Dr. Moore has had a simply outstanding 29-year career at Gallaudet University as professor of chemistry, including formal leadership of that department through his time as department chair. He has served on numerous faculty committees and was chair of the Faculty Senate. In 2006 he was named interim provost and provided stable leadership during a transition period at the university.

Moore, a graduate from Gallaudet's class of 1968, is also vice president of the Gallaudet University Alumni Association.
