Community Service Opportunities
You can meet some or all of your community service hours by contributing to University productions and/or Theatre Arts projects.
It is the perfect time to become involved as there is a renaissance underway at Theatre Arts. We are looking for reliable, responsible, savvy students who possess a great work ethic. If you've always been curious about what it's like in the theatre world, now is your chance. You might light a spark within yourself, one you never knew existed.
Areas of service:
-Set/prop construction and painting.
-Sewing costumes.
-Serving on backstage crews for University productions.
-Assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of the scene and costume shops.
-Assisting the Coordinator with house and box-office management.
-Assisting with the reorganization and makeover of several rooms this year--starting with the script library, student design studio, and lighting storage room.
-Assisting with prop, supply, and equipment inventory.
-ASL sign master opportunities per production.
Be sure that you pick up the application from the Community Service Program (CSP), and you must obtain permission from the CSP Coordinator within seven (7) days before your date of service.
If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Ethan Sinnott (Production Manager) at ethan.sinnott@gallaudet.edu.
