This presentation will explain the origins and evolutions of Deaf View/Image Art (De'VIA). Themes and motifs expressed De'VIA will be discussed and the role of De'VIA as a form of cultural resistance and resurgence will be examined.

Patti Durr is an mom, partner, activist, and associate professor. Her work involves Deaf theatre, cinema, literature, De'VIA, visual histories, and Deaf cultural studies.
