General Refund Policy

A sales receipt must be evident for a refund. All merchandise excluding textbooks must be considered in new condition to be returned. All refunds on merchandise excluding textbooks must be made within 14 business days from the date of purchase. It's important to keep your receipts.

Textbook Returns

A sales receipt must be evident for a refund. New books must be in new condition. Purchases made with Student Financial Aid (SFA) can only be returned for SFA credit. For the fall and spring semesters, no returns can be accepted after 4 business days with receipt dated prior 09/02/08 and 02/02/09. Please check our Textbook Return Policy posted in the Bison Shop for more details as dates are updated every term.

Payments by Checks

Make check payable to Bison Shop. Two-party checks are not accepted. A $35 service fee will be charged for returned checks.

Payments by Credit Cards

Only VISA and MasterCard are accepted.

Payments by Student Financial Aid (SFA)

Students must show a valid Gallaudet ID Card for Student Financial Aid (SFA). Students who expect SFA, but whose SFA is late in arriving, may make purchases with personal payment and later present the cash receipts for a refund. There are some restrictions after the deadline. For more details, check with the Student Financial Services web site.

Buy Back Program

At the end of the fall and spring semester, there are certain days that the Bison Shop will buy back used books. Usually the Buy Back Program takes place between the last days of class and the final day of examination. The dates will be announced in the middle of semester so keep checking with us for the dates.
