Tiffany Williams, '89, comes to the board with a strong background in business and management, having served at AT&T for eight years in a variety of administrative positions. she was also the CEO of the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf, an organization that is the highest governing body for all deaf sports, and which oversees the Deaflympics and the World Deaf Championships.
Williams obtained her masters of advanced studies (MAS) degree in sports administration and technology from the International Academy of Sport Science and Technology at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. She did her internship at the International Olympic Committee under the Olympic Games Department.
Currently, Williams is the director of the Abused Deaf Women’s Advocacy Services (ADWAS), located in Seattle, Wash. The agency is the first in the nation to serve deaf and deaf-blind women and children experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault. As director, she has oversight of 18 staff members and the Transitional Housing Program which hosts 19-units of low-income housing for women and their children.
