This is a web-based link to information, resources, and services for children with hearing loss. At the heart of EHDI-PALS is a national web-based directory of facilities that offer pediatric audiology services to young children who are younger than five years of age.

This website links to information on numerous topics related to the ear and hearing, from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD).

Hearing Loss (ASHA)

These pages on the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association website discuss the various aspects of hearing, including types, causes, and prevalence of hearing loss.

Hearing Loss Explained (AG Bell)

Information is provided from the Alexander Graham Bell Association (Ag Bell) website’s Listening and Spoken Language Knowledge Center related to how hearing works, the causes of hearing loss, and other topics related to hearing.

Hearing Loss in Children (CDC)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website covers a variety of topics for both professionals and families related to newborn hearing screening, hearing loss identification, and early education. Included are links to research, family stories, and free downloadable resources such as fact sheets, posters, and brochures. Many resources are available in Spanish.
