Help for Babies (0 to 3)

Deaf and hard of hearing babies grow up to be happy and productive citizens, just like babies who don't have hearing losses. Just like all babies, also, deaf and hard of hearing babies need support specifically designed for their unique needs.

Hearing loss can make it harder for deaf and hard of hearing babies to develop language skills if they do not have full access to a language. Studies have shown that children with hearing loss can have delays in speech and language development and academic achievement. It is very important for deaf and hard of hearing babies to get early intervention services designed to help them develop the communication skills they need to succeed academically and socially.
