MSSD Fall Showcase Features Letters to Grandma, a Production in Mime - Come and See the Show November 5, 6, or 7

MSSD Play: Letter to GrandmaFor the MSSD fall showcase, Jason Stewart, coordinator of the MSSD performing arts program, revives “Junior,” a mime character he created. Letters to Grandma unfolds from Junior's viewpoint. His love for his grandmother compels him to write her letters with tales of his love and mishaps in a humorous way. Junior invites the audience to share in his adventures of growing up and growing older.

"Mime is perhaps one of the most difficult performances to give in the sense that it requires facial expressions and physical movements to convey emotions, action, and storytelling for audiences to fully comprehend," said Stewart. "It's a perfect way to introduce an audience to a visual sense of theater. We hope the show will be a pleasurable experience for audiences of all ages. Come watch, and get lost in, the captivating actions of miming!"

All performances are open to the public. They will take place in MSSD's Theater Malz.
