CBS News featured the Model Secondary School for the Deaf (MSSD) varsity football team in its October 8 broadcast. Reporter Dave Owens shared his fascination with how the MSSD football players communicate on the field using American Sign Language, hand signals, and cues at practice and at games. Owens interviewed head coach Mark Burke about how the team's communication strategies differ when playing against hearing teams versus schools for the deaf. The news clip shows the MSSD players in action as they continue to build on a strong season this year.

Hats off to coach Mark Burke and the MSSD football players for doing a great job! Go, Eagles!
