Gallaudet University offers merit-based scholarships to deaf and hard of hearing students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and whose scholastic and personal achievements are exemplary. Scholarships are no longer based on first come, first serve basis. Applications must be completed for acceptance by February 1, 2014 in order to be considered for President's Honors Distinction and Provost's Honors. However, to be considered for Provost's Excellence, Dean's Prestige, and Academic Recognition scholarships, *applications must be submitted as soon as possible.
All scholarships are based on academic ability only. ACT or SAT test scores and GPA scores will be ranked from highest to lowest for scholarship review. Scholarship winners will then be notified by the Admissions Office. Timely responses to admission and of merit-based scholarship awards are important because of the limited number of available merit-based scholarships.
