"Spirit of Love: The Mike Glenn Story" earns recognition at film festivals

Mike "Stinger" Glenn, former NBA player who played for the New York Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks in the 1980's and founder of the Mike Glenn Basketball Camps for the Deaf, is the subject of a new film. The "Spirit of Love: The Mike Glenn Story" was inspired by Mike's life and his annual deaf basketball camps, and it is the recipient of several notable awards including "Best Inspirational Film" at the Texas Christian Film Festival and has been selected as the opening film for the inaugural Gwinnett International Film Festival on July 26 at the Gwinnett Center Performing Arts Center. The movie was also selected as one of the Top 10 Semi Finalists, in the same category as the Warner Brothers film, "42" based on the life of basball legend Jackie Robinson, in the International Country Music Faith, Family and Country movie awards to be held in October at Opryland in Nashville.
