Cagle appointed to Commission on Collegiate Interpreter Education

Dr. Keith Cagle, an associate professor in the Department of Interpretation and coordinator of the B.A. in Interpretation Program, has been appointed to the Commission on Collegiate Interpreter Education (CCIE), a non-profit corporation for the purpose of accrediting interpreter education programs. His three-year term of office begins January 1, 2014.

The CCIE strives to maintain a composition of respected experts, such as interpreter educators; American Sign Language faculty members; public members who are experts in such areas as accreditation, legal, financial, or academic administration; interpreter practitioners; interpreter education program administrators; and employers of interpreters. Since its inception in 2006, 18 individuals have served as commissioners.
