The conference is amazing--join us!

Session Title: We Live Here Too
Description: This participant-centered workshop will explore Deaf culture by using intersectionality as a framework for discussion. Activities will help participants understand hearing privilege, audism and its impact, and how this separates the Deaf movement from broader disability justice movements. Participants will learn and practice communication and advocacy skills with and for the Deaf community, building frameworks for future community and organizational level planning to include Deaf members and create accessible space.
Presenters: Alex Jackson Nelson, Mae Sellers, Jennifer Heiser, Kriston Pumphrey, Tamar Jackson Nelson
