Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in two meetings this fall to give input into establishing research priorities.
The Education of the Deaf Act and Goal E of the Gallaudet Strategic Plan require Gallaudet University to establish its research priorities through a process that involves input from constituent groups, consumers, and heads of federal agencies. This process will begin with two opportunities for Gallaudet faculty, staff, and students to work together to identify up to five integrated research priorities as specified in Goal E, Objective 1, Strategy 1 (E.1.1).
All faculty, staff, and students are invited to participate in one of two working sessions, as follows:
- Tuesday, October 15, 12:30-1:50 p.m., JSAC, Multipurpose Room
- Thursday, November 7, 12:30 to 1:50 p.m., Peikoff Alumni House, Upper Level
During each session, teams of faculty, staff, and students will identify compelling research needs, Gallaudet's current and potential strengths, and suggested research priorities. Attendance is open to all.
Please RSVP to Senda Benaissa at firstname.lastname@example.org. RSVPs are not required but would be appreciated for planning purposes. Interpreting and CART services will be provided at both sessions; if you have additional access needs, please let Ms. Benaissa know.
We look forward to your participation in this vitally important priority-setting process.
