Rock climbing is an activity in which participants climb up, down or across natural rock formations or artificial rock walls.  The goal is to reach the top of a formation of the endpoint of a pre-defined route without falling.  To successfully complete a climb, one must return to the base of the route safely.


Rock climbing is a physically and mentally demanding sport that can test a climber's strength, endurance, agility, balance and mental and emotional limits.



Rock Gym Location (Field House - basement - racketball court area):


Hours:  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays       6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

    
Currents Students with Gallaudet ID:  FREE 

Shoe rental included with fees.  

Faculty/Staff with ID - $8 per person OR NEW:  Season Pass - $50

Non-Gallaudet Guests 7 years/older - $10 per person OR NEW:  Season Pass - $75

Children under 7 years of age - FREE (Parents must remain with their child(ren))

Groups and parties can be arranged.  A fee will be charged to cover the expense of staffing the Rock Gym.  The number of people expected and the length of time reserved for climbing will determine the fee.
