Erica Alley
Short Biography

Erica Alley is a doctoral candidate pursuing a degree in the field of Interpreting Research and Pedagogy from Gallaudet University. Her dissertation focuses on Professional Autonomy in Video Relay Service Interpreting: Perceptions of American Sign Language-English Interpreters. Erica has published and presented on her research in video relay service interpreting, trilingual interpretation (Spanish-English-American Sign Language), and video remote interpreting. She currently holds RID NIC-Adv certification and serves in the positions of Staff Interpreter/Video Interpreting Program Lead at Gallaudet Interpreting Service as well as Adjunct Instructor for the Department of Interpretation at Gallaudet University.
