Pamela Collins
 
Short Biography

Pamela F. Collins, CI and CT, is currently a doctoral student at Gallaudet University in the Department of Interpretation. She is a native of Washington, D.C. who began her interpreting studies at Georgia Perimeter College in Atlanta, GA, earned her Associate of Science degree in Interpreting from Catonsville Community College in Maryland, her Bachelor of Arts degree in American Sign Language from Gallaudet University, and her Master of Science degree in Administration and Supervision also from Gallaudet University. She is an active member of the interpreting and Deaf communities and currently serves as an interpreter educator and mentor, as well as being an active member of NAOBI-DC. In the future Pam plans to continue working on her undergraduate project "Capturing the Moment," which entails archiving the invaluable experiences of elders in the Black Deaf and interpreting communities.
