Short Biography

Dr. Day received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Gallaudet University. She completed her internship through the Child and Family track at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She went on to complete her post-doctoral training in Pediatric Neuropsychology at The Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins Medical School.

She has been an assistant professor in the Clinical Psychology Graduate Program since 2012. Dr. Day's responsibilities include teaching, research, supervision, and mentoring of graduate students. Her current research interests include: adaption of Parent-Child Interaction Thearpy (PCIT) to make it assessible for deaf individuals, development of a technology based literacy program for deaf students, and adaptations of psychological measures for deaf individuals. Additionally, Dr. Day provides behavioral parent training and neuropsychological assessment in private practice, is a reviewer for The Journal of Deaf Studies and Deaf Education, and has been a statistical consultant for various research projects.
