Short Biography
Dr. David Snyder is a Physics professor at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. His undergraduate degree was in Physics from Boston College. He taught Physics in the Peace Corps at the University of El Salvador in Central America. His graduate work was done at Fermilab on particle physics,and,as faculty, he has worked on fusion diagnostics at Lawerence Livermore Laboratory and cosmic ray detector simulation for the Goddard Space Flight Center. He develops data-based products and student interfaces for the OceanMotion website and processes satellite imagery in the NASA Laboratory for Terrestrial Physics at the Goddard Space Flight Center.
Specializations
Remote sensing; robotics; computer software modeling; development of education products that use data in the classroom.
