Academics

Overview

The Student Financial Services (SFS) team is committed to supporting students in financing their education.

We are responsible for the billing and collection of tuition and fees. Additionally, we provide students with the support, tools, and information necessary to ensure they understand the aid they’re receiving – including third-party aid such as Vocational Rehabilitation.

Students can contact us with any questions they have regarding their account.

Services and Support

Transcript requests/orders are denied if a student has not paid off his/her account in full.
If you feel you should have received a 1098-T but have not received one yet, please contact Student Financial Services for more information.
The figure in Box 1, Amounts Paid for Qualified Tuition and Related Expenses includes the total amount PAID for tuition, unit fee, health service fee, summer tuition, and recreational fees for Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters during a single academic year. Non-qualified expenses are defined as books, supplies, room and board, student health insurance, parking, graduate school fee, dorm fine, and other fees.
GallyPay is Gallaudet University’s online billing and payment system. It allows students to view and pay their student bills online.
A hold on your account could mean:
  • SF1:Current outstanding account balance. You cannot register until the account is paid off.
  • SF2: Old bad debt. You cannot register until old bad debt is paid off.
  • SF3: Graduated with outstanding balance.
  • SF4: Account balance in Bison has been sent to the collections agency.
  • SF6: Student is an international student and has to pay tuition upfront.
Please contact us for more information or to learn how to resolve any of these issues.
GallyPay is accessible through Bison. GallyPay will appear in a new window (if it does not appear, enable pop-ups and try again). Please note this program works best with Chrome.
You can pay off your balance using any of the following three payment options:
  • E-checks and E-savings. There is no charge for this service.
  • Credit Card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa)
  • Cash (payments can only be made at the Cashier Office located in College Hall B04)
All three academic semesters, Spring, Summer, and Fall apply to the 1098-T.
