Response from Earl Parks, GTS Executive Director
Email Subject: [ALERT] Phishing Emails - 5/25/2017 @11:52 AM

Greetings --

Please be alerted that users have reported receiving fraudulent/phishing messages from "GTS Technology Services" with subject line of "News!" saying that you need to confirm your account by clicking on the link in the email.  This is a well-known strategy for hackers to collect your username and passwords even if the mail interface may appear to be authentic.

This email message is not legitimate and you should report it as a phishing message.  You can do so by selecting "report phishing" in the drop down menu on the top-right corner of the email message.  GTS would never send these messages.

IMPORTANT:  If you had already logged in and provided your username and password, you should change your password immediately at http://selfservice.gallaudet.edu.

As always, please treat any suspicious messages with extreme caution and report it.  When in doubt, contact the Help Desk.

Thank you for your cooperation and diligence in protecting Gallaudet University data and technology resources.
