Interpreter Professional Development

GIS is committed to actively engaging in the on-going enhancement of the interpreting profession and its interpreters.

To further this goal, GIS provides frequent seminars on a variety of topics to enhance skill development. Most seminars are scheduled for one day (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and participants typically earn .6 CEUs. Lunch is on your own. All seminars are presented in ASL unless otherwise noted.

GIS also provides diagnostic services for interpreters seeking help in identifying areas for skill enhancement.
