Green Teaching
The Green Teaching Certificate Program at Gallaudet University is launched to recognize, reward and encourage faculty's committment to environmental friendly practices.
We now are accepting applications for a Green Teaching Certificate. Apply now to help making Gallaudet greener and to earn a Green Teaching Certificate logo for your Blackboard course pages and syllabi.
The application will take you approximately 10 minutes to complete. When we receive your application, we will evaluate your courses that you identified in your application. Once we determine that your course is a Green Course, your name and course will be posted on the website as a Green professor and course.
Some examples of questionnaires that you will be asked:
- Reducing Paper Use:
- Post Syllabus on Blackboard rather than printing copies out for your students
- If you print a handout or syllabus, print double-sided on recycled paper
- Quizzes and tests made available on Blackboard rather than on paper.
