Transitioning to MS Word 2007

MS Office has developed a new user interface for version 2007. It was created to make these applications simpler to use. The menus and toolbars from prior versions are gone! This transition workshop is targeted to faculty and Staff who have used previous versions of Word and will be upgrading to Word 2007.

Social Bookmarking

We have a new feature of Blackboard called 'Scholar' that will help you further share information with your students through "social bookmarking." del.icio.us is a social bookmarking third-party support that also provides a shortcut link collection of your favorite websites, articles, blogs, and more and share them with your students through Bb that you can use in addition to Bb's Scholar.

Course Evaluations for Department Secretaries

Department Secretaries (and department chairs in some cases) are responsible for conducting and managing course evaluations at the end of each semester. We strongly encourage all academic departments to use Blackboard to conduct their course evaluations. Come to this session to learn how to conduct and manage your evaluation tasks through the use of Respondus and Blackboard.

Orientation to Echo360 Classrooms (formerly Apreso)

Learn how to use Echo360 classrooms in all aspects of capturing your classroom lecture for web-based, interactive playback. Learn how to use the doc camera, capture cameras and PC display for enhanced recording and playback. Through this system, students benefit from greater retention and comprehension of course materials.
