Dress Code

Does Gallaudet have a dress code?

No, Gallaudet does not have a specific dress code. All employees are expected to dress neatly and cleanly and in a manner that is appropriate for their positions and which presents a positive and professional image to the public.

Can I wear shorts or jeans to work during the summer?

Gallaudet does not have "dress down" days; and, as a general rule, shorts or jeans would not be appropriate for most positions on campus. Supervisors and employees are expected to use good judgment in determining what attire is suitable to the job and contributes to a favorable impression of the University.
