Subject:  Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program

Gallaudet has decided to offer a one-time Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program to all retirement-eligible employees of the University and the Clerc Center. It is a voluntary retirement incentive program, not an 'early' retirement program.

A description of the program, as well as documents with other details such as answers to frequently asked questions and a timeline, are available below:

We know retirement decisions are not easy to reach, so at your request, Human Resources Services staff members will review the options with you and will calculate retirement annuities. For help, please contact:

  • Ms. Christina Shen-Austin (VP/V 202-250-2419)
  • Ms. Agnes Muse (VP 202-250-2942; Voice 202-651-5111)
  • Ms. Elaine Vance (VP 202-250-2284; Voice 202-651-5352)

All can also be reached via campus email.

For those of you who are retirement-eligible, and therefore able to participate in this program, please know that we realize the enormous value of the contributions you have made over many years, for you have committed so much of your professional lives to the University and the Clerc Center. We hope this offering honors your service.
