The Hearing and Speech Center will be CLOSED this Friday, May 3, 2013 from 1pm-4pm. We will resume normal operating hours Monday, May 6, 2013 at 9am, however Monday's 1pm Walk IN is also cancelled due to practical exams. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The Center is now accepting health insurance for services.
The GUHSC accepts Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicaid, Medicare, UnitedHealthcare and TRICARE. Please contact your insurance provider to determine whether a medical referral is required and for details on services covered, co-pays and deductibles specific to your plan. If your insurance provider is not listed, you can still receive services through GUHSC.

General Information
We offer services to both the Gallaudet community and to the DC/Maryland/Virginia communities.Services include:
- hearing/audiology,
- cochlear implant services,
- hearing aid evaluation & dispensing,
- Assistive Devices,
- speech-language evaluation and therapy for
- hearing adults, and
- hearing children (pediatrics),
- aural rehabilitation services (including individuals with cochlear implants seeking rehabilitation services)

WALK POLICY |
| You must arrive at the start of the walk in for the opportunity to be seen. There are a maximum number of people (approximately five) seen during each walk-in depending on the request. Be aware there is a possibility you will not be seen if the walk in is full. |

Individuals may make appointments for themselves or be referred by others.

Missed Appointments (Effective 3/10/09)
If you cannot keep your appointment and fail to notify us by phone or email at least 24hrs in advance there will be a $20 rescheduling fee.
