Research Participants

What to Expect as a Research Participant:

This is an example of an Informed Consent Video in ASL developed by Dr. Jenny Singleton (University of Illinois) with support from the NSF Science of Learning Center on Visual Language and Visual Learning. Dr. Singleton was assisted on the project by two graduate students, Gabrielle Jones and Jeffrey Goetz. For further information about the use of this video, please contact Dr. Singleton (jenny.singleton@psych.gatech.edu). Another resource related to this project is an article by Singleton, Jones, & Hanumantha (2011--under review) on the subject of ethical conduct in research involving individuals who are Deaf/HH.
