Linking e-Reserves to Blackboard Course Pages

When the Library has scanned articles or chapters for your course, you still must link them to your Blackboard course page. Here's how:

  1. Login to
  2. Click link for your course
  3. Click the menu item on the left navigation bar that corresponds to the part of your course where would like to link to the readings. If appropriate, select a specific folder that you have created
  4. Look on the top right and make sure the “Edit Mode” is ON
  5. Scroll over “Build Content” and click “Item box”
  6. On the “Create item” form, give your new item a title, for example, “Smith 2013”
  7. Scroll down to “2: Attachments”
  8. Click “Browse Content Collection” - a new window will open
  9. Scroll over “Upload” and click “Upload Files.” (Don’t try to upload a file here. This step will let you continue to step 10)
  10. Scroll over “Browse” and click “Library Content”
  11. Click “eReserves”
  12. Click the link to your course, section and semester
  13. Click the box(es) next to the reading(s) you want
  14. Click “Submit” – you will return to the “Create item” form
  15. Make any changes you want in the “Standard options” section, and click “Submit"
