|Gallaudet awarded grant to provide scholarships for students in STEM majors|
Gallaudet University has received a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant award to fund scholarships for students majoring in biology, chemistry, or mathematics. The project, entitled “Overcoming Barriers to STEM Success for Deaf Undergraduates,” aims to address a severe under-representation of deaf and hard of hearing people in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

|Gallaudet, Beijing Union universities take first step in International Center Pilot Program|
The two universities launched a partnership they formed last year with a pilot summer instruction program in which 30 students from Beijing Union University were taught English and American Sign Language for five weeks.
