My student is having difficulty paying for college. Who can he/she speak to about financial aid and scholarship options?

Our Financial Aid staff can review the student's individual case and advise him or her of their options.  If the student currently has Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Officer can review their package and advise them if they are eligible for other alternative options, including loans. The student is encouraged to call or email the Financial Aid office to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.  The Financial Aid office can be reached at:

My student has exhausted all of his or her Financial Aid options and is still having difficulty paying their bill. What are their options?

First, have the student verify that they have indeed exhausted all of their Financial Aid options by checking with the Financial Aid office (see previous question).

Currently enrolled students who have exhausted all options are eligible to file a financial appeal with the Student Financial Services office if their outstanding balance is over $1,000 and they are unable to meet the payment deadline. Information about the Financial Appeal process and important deadlines for filing the financial appeal is located here:  Financial Appeals - Student Financial Services.   For questions about this process, contact Student Financial Services at:

What is Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)?  Are all students eligible?

One of the most important assets any student can have is support from his or her state's Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) agency. VR can provide invaluable assistance in helping student's obtain a college degree and realize their educational and career goals.  To learn more about VR, visit the Vocational Rehabilitation page on the  Financial Aid website.  The student can also schedule an appointment with Financial Aid to learn more about VR and how he/she can make the most of their  experience with their VR counselor.
