I started my career at Gallaudet University in 1999. My first position as Administrative Secretary was in the Center for Global Education where I worked with International visitors, students, Foreign Study Programs and International Internships. This was my first experience with the International Community and it was a very rewarding experience.
In 2003 I was moved to CAPSS where I worked for Tutorial & Instructional Programs and First Year Experience, then later Tutorial & Instructional Programs and the Office for Students with Disabilities. I currently work for the Office for Academic Quality.
Up until the change at IAAP in 2015 I was an active member. I am the former webmaster and Communication Chair for the Capital Chapter.
I was very active in local politics and have worked on various campaigns for many years. I was elected as a member of the D.C. Democratic State Committee and I completed my last terms on Sept. 9, 2008 (new election was held I did not run for re-election). I am currently the elected Secretary for the Third District Police Citizens Advisory Council (3D CAC) and volunteer countless hours working on community events, dinners and Banquets for the Officers of the Third District. I created and maintains the 3D CAC website and listserv.
I love technology, I have done graphic work, web design and maintenance for a variety of organizations and non-profit organizations in the District (Third District Citizens Advisory Council, Education Plus2, African American Civil War Memorial and many more).
I have a wonderful family: Bobby, Trice, DaShawn, Bobbie, Briana and Imani. In 2010 Bobby was elected as an ANC Commissioner in Ward One.
