Kati is entering her fourth year with the Office of Program Development. She primarily assists with government and community relations, the Sixth Street Development, and event coordination for those endeavors. Kati has helped organize events such as Gallaudet's annual involvement with the H Street Festival, the Senate HELP committee hearing at Gallaudet in October of 2011, and the Capitol Hill reception celebrating the launch of the Congressional Deaf Caucus and Gallaudet's 150th Anniversary in March of 2014.
Kati earned a BA in Deaf Studies- General Deaf Studies emphasis from Utah Valley University ('09) and a MA in Deaf Studies with a Deaf History concentration from Gallaudet University ('11). Her Masters studies led to research resulting in a historical study titled "Gainful Employment: Historical Examples from Akron, Ohio" that will be published in the forthcoming book Deaf Gain: Raising the Stakes for Human Diversity (Dirksen and Murray).
Kati is originally from Pleasant Grove, Utah.
