Linda started her career at Gallaudet University in 1999. Her first position as Administrative Secretary was in the Center for Global Education where she worked with International visitors, students, Foreign Study Programs and International Internships. This was her first experience with the International Community and it was a very rewarding experience.
In 2003 she came to CAPSS where she worked for Tutorial & Instructional Programs and First Year Experience, and then Tutorial & Instructional Programs and the Office for Students with Disabilities. She currently works for the Office for Academic Quality.
Linda is active in local politics and has worked on various campaigns for many years. She was elected as a member of the D.C. Democratic State Committee. She completed her last terms on Sept. 9, 2008 (new election was held Linda did not run for re-election). She is the currently the elected Secretary for the Third District Police Citizens Advisory Council (3D CAC) and volunteers countless hours working on community events, dinners and Banquets for the Officers of the Third District. She created and maintains the 3D CAC website and listserv.
She loves technology, does/has done graphic work, web design and maintenance for a variety of organizations and non-profit organizations in the District (Third District Citizens Advisory Council, Education Plus2, African American Civil War Memorial and many more).
She has a wonderful family: Bobby, Trice, DaShawn, Bobbie, Briana and Imani. In 2010 Bobby was elected as an ANC Commissioner in Ward One.
