Peer Reviewer Application
So you want to be a Peer Reviewer for Gallaudet University? To be certified as a peer reviewer, you need to apply to take the next Quality Matters Peer Reviewer Course (PRC). Before you do, make sure you meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Successful completion of the Applying the QM Rubric Workshop
- Current (within the last 18 months) online teaching experience in a regular for-credit course
- Be Gallaudet University faculty, adjunct or staff
Quality Matters Peer Reviewer Course (PRC) Expectations: You will spend approximately 20-30 hours over two weeks to complete the course. If course cancellation is necessary, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the start of the course by notifying the Office of Distance Education (ODE) Director; otherwise you or your department will be responsible for paying the registration fee.
Peer Review Course Reimbursement: In return for the ODE sponsorship of your $200 registration fee for the PRC course, ODE asks you to commit to participate on at least two formal course reviews for Gallaudet University with a stipend of $250 per review. Every effort will be made to arrange a review date that works with your schedule.
