Paul Blakely
 
Short Biography

Paul joined Gallaudet University in 1987 after having worked for the Virginia School for the Deaf & Blind for almost eight years. At Gallaudet, he has worked in the Department of Student Affairs for almost all of his time, taking particular pride in his work and interactions with students and student organizations. Because of the breadth and depth of his skills, his work ethic, and his integrity, he has worked for several deans and vice presidents, and for President Davila on temporary assignments planning major campus events. He joined the President's Office full-time in 2010.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all operations for the Office of the President.
  • Work closely with the President on planning and executing various special projects.
  • Ensure successful events and planning of all official University events such as Commencement, Hooding, Presidential addresses, and so on.
  • Serve as manager of the President’s residence, House One.
