Office of Regional and National Outreach

Located at Gallaudet University, the Office of Regional and National Outreach (RNO) initiates, leads, and supports outreach efforts by providing resources, consultation, and training to address the educational, transition, and professional development needs of deaf and hard of hearing people, their family members, and the educators and other professionals who work with them throughout the United States and its territories.

RNO fosters opportunities for collaborative relationships between Gallaudet and other educational institutions, governments and non-profit agencies at the regional and national level through its Regional Centers. 

The mission of RNO is to advance the intellectual, social, linguistic and economic vitality of deaf and hard of hearing people through educational outreach and leadership development programs at the regional and national level.

The Office of Regional and National Outreach oversee six (6) Regional Centers.

To better fulfill RNIO mission, we are conducting this needs assessment to help guide us as we design programs and services. This needs assessment is completely voluntary and anonymous. You will have the option to request inclusion in our listserv at the end of the needs assessment. By using SurveyMonkey, we are guaranteeing anonymity. Please complete this survey by May 1, 2013. This survey has been sent through our mailing list but if you have not completed this survey, please feel free to do so and forward this needs assessment to anyone you think might benefit from the services of the Gallaudet University Regional Centers such as parents of deaf and hard of hearing children and professionals working with deaf and hard of hearing children.
