Welcome International Visitors!

The Office of Research Support and International Affairs (RSIA) runs the International Strategic Visitors Program (ISVP). Visitors are always warmly welcomed to Gallaudet University's historic campus in Washington, DC. They are encouraged to observe and learn about the many creative programs and services at our world-renowned institution of higher learning that are designed to educate, train, and empower deaf and hard of hearing people and those who work with them. Gallaudet also is home to the federally funded Laurent Clerc Deaf Education Center, whose mission is to raise the achievement of deaf and hard of hearing students ages birth-21 nationwide by supporting the families and professionals who work with these students.

The Gallaudet University Virtual Tour is now live!

Prospective Gallaudet University students should see the tour schedule on the Visitors Center website. Visitors Center tours do not require an appointment. Tours are given in American Sign Language. Please see the Support Services page (click and fill out the 'International Strategic Visitors Support Request') regarding interpreters, and the Admissions Office will contact you. The Admissions Office also will assist with enrollment at Gallaudet.Welcome, International Visitors!

A subset of international visitors represent a strategic opportunity to advance Gallaudet's student recruiting, academic exchanges, and institutional partnerships. Working with the offices of the President and the Provost, RSIA hosts strategic international visitors, including careful screening of the many requests received to ascertain if special arrangements can be provided. Therefore, international visitors who may be of strategic interest to the University should be referred via email to intl.visit@gallaudet.edu, or to the online form, which can be found under Support Services.
